About the Author

My name is Jeromy, and I have spent more than 20 years working in welding and construction.

Over the years I’ve worked on many different types of jobs and alongside a lot of different crews. Like most people in the trades, much of what I learned didn’t come from a classroom — it came from the jobsite.

The trades teach lessons that only experience can provide.

Some lessons come from mentors and experienced workers who take the time to pass down knowledge. Others come from mistakes and hard-earned experience.

I created Welded Forge as a place to share practical knowledge from the trades — lessons that can help new workers avoid common mistakes and help experienced workers continue sharpening their craft.

The goal of this site is simple:

To pass down knowledge from the trades to the next generation of workers who build the world.

Why Welded Forge Exists

I started Welded Forge to share practical knowledge from the trades.

There are a lot of people entering the trades today who are looking for real information about the work — not just theory, but the things you learn after years on a jobsite.

Things like:

  • Safety equipment that actually matters
  • Tools that are worth the money
  • Lessons that make the work easier
  • Advice for apprentices starting their first year

Much of that knowledge used to be passed down directly from experienced workers to the next generation. But a lot of those lessons can disappear when people retire or move on.

This site is a way to preserve some of that knowledge and pass it forward.
